The Board has helped make AWLA more responsive, but they appear unwilling to demand fundamental change at AWLA. So as is often the case, concerned citizens will have to lead the way. When Arlington ultimately joins the progressive communities that do everything they can to save homeless animals, it’s a safe bet that the County Board will trumpet that success and claim responsibility for it.

Notify the Arlington Gazette newspaper. Give them info for and article.
Our community did this when the County staff proposed closing the Columbia Pike Library Branch. We made a lot of noise and it was effective. They dropped the proposal.
